About me

I’ve led an interesting life. One that feels like I’ve experienced three lifetimes. I spent over a decade serving in the Canadian military, embarking on overseas missions both as a Combat Engineer and a Medical Technician. I left the military to pursue higher education. As an uber-nerd, I kept going until I earned a Ph.D. in experimental solid-state physics. For the past several years, I’ve been teaching high school physics and serving as an administrator at a STEM school, all in Asia. Now, I hope to make a living writing books to help others better understand physics.

I sometimes answers questions on physics forums as DrNate. Click the (tiny) icons below to find me in those places or on social media.
